Myanna Buring-1Buring was born on the 22nd of September 1979,[3] in Sundsvall, Sweden, as Anna Margaretha My Rantapaa,[4] however she was raised in the Middle East. She was a student at the American British Academy in Muscat, Oman, with her childhood friend Stegath Dorr, who plays a character and a well-known horror filmmaker. At the age of 16, she left Oman to the United Kingdom and graduated in 2004 from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. She was also director of the associate company at the MahWaff Theatre Company.
