It was a major commercial success, and made about 11 times its budget. Also, it was lauded by the critics. The actress reprised her role in the 3 sequels of the film. Her popularity reached new heights when she played the lead character in the sitcom Friends. As a result of her contribution she was nominated for and won several awards. The program that became a huge success aired for ten years. In her most recent work she played a crucial supporting role in Mothers and Daughters. The actress has received numerous accolades, such as The TV Guide Award and Golden Derby Award.
